Jonathan Majors found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend, dropped by Marvel Studios

The actor has starred in some recent blockbuster movies such as Creed III, Ant-Man and the Wasp and The Harder They Fall.

American actor Jonathan Majors has been dropped by Marvel Studios after he was found guilty of assaulting his girlfriend by an American court.

The actor was found guilty, following a two-week trial, of reckless assault in the third degree and also guilty of harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari by a Mahattan court jury.

Judge Michael Gaffey, who was the presiding judge, set the sentencing date for February 6, 2024, which could see Majors face up to a year in jail. He could also be sentenced to just probation.

According to reports, Marvel Studios and the Walt Disney Company dropped the actor, hours after the verdict. Majors was set to star in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, dated for release in May 2026.

The trial came up as a result of a March incident that occurred between him and his ex-girlfriend, where she claimed the actor attacked her in a car and left her in ‘excruciating’ pain.

She further added that he hit her in the head, twisted her arm, and squeezed her middle finger until it fractured.

Majors, however, denied the claims, while his lawyers maintained during the trial that it was Jabbari who attacked the actor.

The “creed III” star actor has not spoken publicly since the verdict was read.
