Kanye West has conceded defeat after obtaining 60,000 votes in 12 states. Not discouraged, he vowed to run again in 2024.

The Billionaire rapper took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to share a picture of himself posing in front of en electoral map, with the caption, WELP 2024.

Recall that, in early July, Kanye West announced his ambition to run for President against Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump, under his self-acclaimed “Birthday Party”.

He made it on the ballot as either a third party or an independent candidate in 12 states in the US, namely; Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Utah, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Vermont.

Kanye’s updated state-by-state breakdown is as follows:

Arkansas: 4,040

Colorado: 6,254

Idaho: 6,631

Iowa: 3,202

Kentucky: 6,259

Louisiana: 4,894

Minnesota: 7,789

Mississippi: 3,277

Oklahoma: 5,590

Tennessee: 10,216

Utah: 4,344

Vermont: 1,265

However, that all major news network were focused on the race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, a good number of social media users were focused on West.

Kanye West’s name was trending on Twitter after the superstar made series of posts chronicling what he said was the “first time he ever voted in his life.” Of course, he voted for himself.

Around the time that Joe Biden was making his election night speech, West tweeted what has been interpreted as both a concession and an announcement, writing, “Welp Kanye 2024”.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden is still in the lead with 66.4% of votes with Donald Trump trailing behind with a 30.8%.
