News coming in from a trusted news media, Television Continental (TVC), indicate that popular comedian, Mr Macaroni and other protesters who were arrested at lekki toll gate protest have not yet been released as was reported earlier.

TVC earlier reported that the commissioner of police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, had ordered the release of protesters.

However, this was debunked after the trusted news media retracted their announcement, also stating that popular comedian, Mr macaroni and other protesters have not been released yet.

Policemen at the Lekki Toll Gate

According to the news media, about 35 persons were released by the policemen but none of them were part of the arrested Lekki Protesters.

TVC Tweeted:

“@mrmacaroni and Others arrested at the Lekki Toll Gate this morning, they have not been released as earlier reported, the 35 released are not the #LekkiTollGate protesters but a separate group of persons arrested by the police.”

TVC News also announced that the arrested protesters including Mr macaroni have been charged to court.
