The Nigerian footballing body has vowed to replace them as soon as possible.
The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) have annouced the sacking of the entire Super Eagles coaching crew, following the resignation of head coach Augustine Eguavoen.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles failed to qualify for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after a 1-1 draw with the Black Stars of Ghana on Thursday.
The decisive match which took place at the M. K. O Abiola stadium in Abuja, saw Ghana book their place in the competition via away goals rule.
Following the loss, Super Eagles head coach, Augustine Eguavoen resigned but the NFF decided to sack the rest of the coaching staff few hours later.
“The NFF has in the meantime withdrawn the two-and-half year contract offered [to] the coaches and terminated the appointment of the entire technical crew of the team with immediate effect,” an official statement read.
“A new crew will be announced after a proper review to lead the new charge of reinvigorating the Super Eagles to face future challenges appropriately.”
“We thank the coaches and team officials for their service to the nation and wish them success in their future endeavours.”
