The super eagles moved four places up in the latest ranking released by FIFA.
After the just concluded international breaks, the World football governing body released the April rankings on Wednesday which saw Nigeria improve by four places. Gernot Rohr’s men are now ranked 32nd in the world and third-best team in Africa.

Towards the end of last month, the three-time African champions impressed during the African Cup of Nations qualifiers. Nigeria came out triumph against encounters with Benin Republic and Lesotho.
A Paul Onuachu’s header was enough to help defeat Benin Republic at Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo. Three days later, the Eagles would defeat Lesotho at Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos. No wonder Nigeria garnered 1487 points to become the third best in Africa.
Senegal are ranked the number one team in Africa despite dropping two places in the latest rankings. Currently, they sit 22nd in the world rankings with 1542 points. Tunisia remained unmoved as they remained 26th globally and second in Africa with 1512 points.
Meanwhile, the top six in the world remains unchanged with Belgium maintaining the number one spot. France, Brazil, England, Portugal and Spain follow suite in that order.
