President Buhari’s official driver dies

The official driver of President Muhammadu Buhari, Chief Warrant Officer Sa’idu Afaka, is dead.

The late Afaka died at the clinic of the State House, Abuja on Tuesday, April 6 after an extended illness.

A statement published by the presidential aid, Garba Shehu, declares that President Buhari extends sincere condolences to the family of the late Afaka. The President also commiserated with the Government and the inhabitants of the State of Kaduna and described the end of Afaka as an honest, capable and reliable person who managed his job with the greatest care and the most responsibility.

The President recalled that, in 2016, the soldier, while on the pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, picked up a bag containing a large quantity of foreign currencies and turned it to the National Commission of Hajj, an action that has earned him praises of Saudi authorities and Nigerian authorithies.

Shehu added that the president prayed that the Almighty Allah “bless the soul of the dead with an elevated place in the heavens, ”.
