The Presidential Task-Force (PTF) on Covid-19 on Tuesday, January 12th, announced that resumption date for all schools across the country still remains, Monday, January 18th.

This information was given by the national coordinator of the PTF, Sani Aliu, during a press briefing held in Abuja.

Sani said that the fixed resumption date is to be adhered to by all states in the country.

Speaking on whether the date is confirmed or not, Sani explained that the date will only be changed if the ministry of education rules it out because of the ongoing pandemic in the country.

He said;

“As regards schools, I just want to make a clarification, what the minister said yesterday is that they were going to review, he didn’t say that they were going to change the date. He said they will review the situation and let the nation know.

“So, for the moment, it is still the 18th of January untill the ministry of education comes back with an alternative date or reconfirm that.”
