Dear world,

December 2019, I visited your world as a guest. Wuhan, China was my destination but I ended up visiting the whole world.

I was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in January 2020. Over a period of 8 months, I’ve visited more than 33.6 million lives. Sadly, more than 1 million people have died because of me.

Right now, a lot of people hate to hear my name! “Coronavirus, what I’ve you done? Phew! I’m such a disgrace. I know i’ve brought a lot of problems to your world, and I’m really sorry for that.

As life begins to return to normal all over the world, I know that apologies are not enough to undo the problems I’ve caused.

The time has come, and I’m preparing to leave the world. Sooner or later, there would be no place for me again. Life has to go on! But, I hope in some way, I’ve taught you this 3 bitter lessons:

  1. God is important

I don’t think there is any better proof than the one I’ve given. You should put God first in every single thing you do. Turn to him when you need help! He would help you. You all need him to survive. I hope I taught you that?

  1. Health is wealth

Did you even take your time to notice? I infected most of the influential and prominent people in the world – top people!

I’ve only taught you that your money cannot buy health for you! Your health is more important than your money – pray for it always! When you have good health, you’d enjoy your life.

  1. Jobs are not permanent

Oh God! I wasn’t supposed to do this. It terrifies me when I recall how many people I’ve rendered jobless.

But, the sad truth is jobs are temporary. It can be taken away from you anytime! I just hope you learn to establish various sources of income for yourself. Don’t depend on one! Be your own boss!

For years to come, coronavirus will be remembered for all the atrocities it has committed. But I’m pretty sure I’ve taught you these lessons indirectly. Once again, I apologise for all I’ve caused… can you forgive me?

Kind regards,

Covid-19.
