Wife of President Buhari, Aisha Buhari has called on Nigerians to continue with their prayers concerning the end of Covid-19 pandemic as the country prepares to celebrate her 60th Independence Anniversary on October 1st.

The First Lady, gave her speech during a public lecture at the National Mosque, Abuja. In her speech, she urged Nigerians to offer a special prayer to God for forgiveness, adding that the outbreak of Covid-19 was as a result of God not being happy with the world .

” We need to pray for forgiveness and a special prayer for forgiveness. The world is no longer the same as a result of the pandemic, and the pandemic is a sign that Almighty God is not happy with us. I think we have no choice than to continue asking for forgiveness from the Almighty Allah,” she said.

Aisha Buhari urged both goverment officials and Nigerians to support President Buhari’s government in order to ensure development in the country.

“The President cannot do it alone, he needs the support and cooperation of Nigerians including his appointees, to go in line with his change mantra,” she said.

The First Lady later performed a two Jumma’ah prayer with other Muslim devotees. She was accompanied to the National Mosque by Former First Lady, Mrs Turai Yar’Adua and some other notable dignitaries.
