The beautiful singer switched to gospel music and Christian ministry in 2021.

Popular Nigerian singer Chidinma Ekile, who recently transitioned to gospel music, has revealed that she was born visually impaired.

In a video posted on her YouTube video, she talked about her story and how she was raised. According to her, her parents faced significant challenges concerning her medical condition.

After efforts to ensure she regained her sight back, her parents turned to God.
Miraculously, she regained her sight back, and without her knowledge, her mother vowed to dedicate her to God.

“I was born blind actually, I didn’t open my eyes at all, and that became a challenge. My parents tried all that they could to get me to see. Without my knowledge, my mum made a deal with God,” she said.

Chidinma also added that when she regained her sight, her eyes were blood red, which became another concern.

The singer also added that being a ‘covenant child’, she wasn’t able to do anything successfully without God, hence she decided to let it all depend on God.

She also used the video to urge people to find their was to God, whom she describes as ‘the source’.

Chidinma Rose to prominence in 2010 after she won the third edition of the MTN Project Fame West Africa. In May 2021, she switched from secular music to gospel music despite topping charts with her song “Emi ni Baller”.
