The “Ojuelegba” crooner reacted to a tweet the President posted two days ago wishing US president, Donald Trump a “get well soon” message after he had contracted the coronavirus. Wizkid didn’t take this lightly with the president as he addressed him as an “old man”.

Wizkid blasts President Buhari

He tweeted: “Donald Trump is not your business! Old man! Police/SARS are still killing Nigerian youths on a daily! Do something! Nothing concern you for America! Face your country!!”

The President’s SA didn’t find this funny and has slammed Wizkid for calling the President an old man.

Replying to the singer’s remarks on her Twitter page, she said: “It’s not disrespectful to call anyone old. It’s the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth. He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he’s a #DumbkidNotWhizKid When he grows up, he might learn respect.”

Wizkid reacted to the tweet saying “shame on you” and that he was only demanding for good governance of his country. He said: ” Lol a 77-year-old man is not young ma. You are a woman and a mother and kids are getting killed by police/sars and this is all you have to say? shame on you!!! shame on you!! I am a father and age has nothing to do with demanding for better governance in my country!!”.

Lauretta Onochie is not the only one to have slammed the hitmaker for his comments. Blackface also condemned the singer and told him to face his music, with the hashtag #ChildrenOfNowAdays.
