Falz, Runtown and other celebrities join the #Endsars protest in Lagos.

The #ENDSARS protest took place today in the Lekki area of Lagos.

Many youths came out massively as they demanded an end to the SARS unit of the Nigerian police. The protesters were led by top Nigerian celebrities which included Falz, Runtown,Dremo, Toke Makinwa and many others.

The protesters were seen carrying placards with inscriptions like “Enough is Enough” and “We are all Victims” written on some of them. Chants of #ENDSARS were chorused as the protesters marched along.

Falz pleaded with the protesters not to be violent as security operatives tried to disrupt the protest. Before the protest, Falz said: “No backing down. We move. The police are already there, waiting for us but we are not here to cause trouble. It is a peaceful protest. Coming through.” via an Instagram live chat.

Nigerian singer, Naira Marley also took to his Twitter handle to urge youths and also warn the Nigerian Government that a bigger protest will come up if changes aren’t made in a week. The “tesumole” crooner was supposed to lead the protest.
