Teenage Years are known to be the years for self-discovery, alcohol tasting, first kisses, silly fights and many more, but don’t be engrossed on that so much that you forget that the choices you make or stand by during your teenage years are what will make or mar you in 3-5 years time.
At the beginning of your teenage life like 13-16 years, you just really want to have fun and do everything your peers are doing and just rock life basically, but when you are like 18,19 you realize you are getting old and there is more to life than experiments and that you have to make certain choices.
What is it like to be a teenager?
As a teenager you have more freedom than responsibilities. Despite that, teenagers go through a lot of stress and pressure from peers, parents and social media. Teenagers are also the most misunderstood set of people on the planet earth.
There are a whole lot of problems teenagers face, for example, Peer-Pressure, Self-esteem, Bullying, Depression, Under-Age Sex and many more. As much as you feel and say you can handle it yourself, you know you can’t.
I don’t know if you will agree with me on this, but I feel the reason why a lot of teenagers don’t speak or meet their parents or older ones for advice on these issues are because they feel they will be misunderstood and judged, so they seek advice from their fellow mates, which most times don’t go well.
The hard truth about being a teenager is that you are going to be betrayed, cheated on, yelled at, people are going to play with your heart, you are going to get laughed at, fall in and fall out of love, which is okay because the good part of this is that you are going to grow up and notice that all that didn’t really matter, you are going to learn from your mistakes and become a better you and if you made those right choices at the end of your teenage years, you are going to look back and be happy that all that happened.
If you think your teenage years had pressure, then watch out for more pressure that adulthood comes with. So Jazz up oo, No lose concentration.
