The case is now a matter of him against the law enforcement agency.

Salaudeen, Waliu Aanuoluwa, a 400level student of the University of Ilorin who beat up his lecturer has been expelled from the school.

The department of microbiology student has been handed over to the Police for further investigations.

In a meeting held yesterday, 15th November 2021, by the school’s Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC), Captain Walz as he his fondly called was unanimously expelled.

What exactly happened?

On Thursday 11th, November 2021, Captain Walz assaulted a female lecturer of his department Mrs. Zakkariyah, who also happens to be his supervisor after a disagreement between them.

It was gathered that he approached her over issue of Students Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), which he didn’t do. Walz went to solicit for her help, but she turned his offer down.

That led to a physical altercation between them, with Walz beating her till she was rendered unconscious.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, however revealed that the lecturer in question is now in stable condition after he visited her at the school clinic.

What next for Captain Walz?

Wasiu has now been handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigations, although charges of attempted murder and assault have been levelled against him.
