A young Nigerian Yoruba girl, Victory Yinka Banjo has been named World’s Best Candidate In English as a second language by the University of Cambridge International Examinations(CIE) after obtaining A Stars in the 2019 Cambridge IGSCE.

Victory was also named amongst the 5 best candidates locally and globally in other examinations which include, UTME, IELTS, WASSCE.

Apart from obtaining outstanding grades in local and international examinations, Victory has also won several local and international awards in Essay Competitions, public speaking, Science Competitions amongst many others.

It is quite impressive that even amidst the pandemic in 2020, Victory was still able to obtain 9 A’s in her the West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE). Her school, Princeton College did not fail to prepare their students for WASSCE, as they took a step forward in digitization by having online classes with their students, to ensure that the students come out with flying colors in the August 2020 WAEC examination.

The school’s management is very proud of Victory’s success in her examinations, and they consinder her victories as a reward for her hardwork.

The school’s director, Dr Dolapo Bankole, said that she believes that Nigerian students can go places and achieve great success when they are provided with adequate knowledge.

She said;

“Nigerian students can go places, achieve great heights if provided with the right learning environment and opportunity.”
